At least I blog once a month?

Haha. Sooo, once again, I'm going to apologize for being the most inconsistent blogger. Now let's get to business.

I finally got a job doing hair! I work at the Smart Style in the Ammon Walmart. I started on the second of this month. I love the girls that I work with there. They are all really fun, and I get along really well with all of them. I've been making some pretty good tips, and I've gotten into the groove of things pretty fast. :] Not bad for my manager not really telling me ANYTHING. haha. But, I love it. :]

I haven't seen Brent for little over a month now. :[ He was supposed to come up this weekend, but it snowed, and the roads were pretty bad. Hopefully he's coming up for Thanksgiving. I really hope he can come up. I miss him so much. I think the time and the distance has been getting to both of us lately. I cant' wait to see him again.

I deserve the award for...

Worst consistent blogger. haha.

I see that the last blog I posted was right after boards... So you should know that I passed with flying colors. I got a 94 on the written, and a 90 on the practical. Preeeetty dang good if you ask me. ;) I already got my license in the mail, and I'm just waiting to find a job. I'm to the point where I've been applying for jobs not even pertaining to hair. I am kind of hoping I get this job as a secretary at this aesthetics clinic. It's kinda along the lines of cosmetology... right? Haha, even if it is cosmetic surgery... Anyways, I WISH I could get a job doing hair, but at this point in time, any job is fine by me. I need to start making money if I'm gonna pay off my car, and move out in the spring!

Brent came down this weekend, which was GREAT because I've been really lonely sitting at home all day with my best friend in Boise, and him in Salt Lake. Thank God for family right? They have been my only friends lately, which is totally fine, but I have a bad case of cabin fever. Anyway, it was really nice to see him. I've missed him soooo much. Long distance relationships are definitely hard, but if you've found the right person, it is totally worth it. I'm just grateful for the internet and the phone, because it would be MUCH harder. Friday night we went to dinner at Mongolian Grill (he's been craving it ever since he was up here for the forth of July), and hot-tubbed, and went to bed. The next day we planned on going to Mesa Falls, but ended up having to take the trailer hitch up to mom and dad, and we decided to go to "dunch." Brent and I then decided that it was too late in the day to go to Mesa Falls, and just headed home. Stephanie and Tyson agreed to go see the informant with us. Man... I've never watched a movie with so many... twists? You never knew who was on the good side or bad side. haha. Anyways, it was just a really relaxing weekend, and I'm very glad I got to see Brent and Steph.

Now I'm back to my waiting game for a job, and sitting on the computer all day. haha. I guess I can't complain about sleeping in...

OH! I forgot to mention. I drastically changed my hair. I've gone from Long Blond, to A-line Brunette. Here's some pictures of the before and after:

I can breathe again...

Well, I took my state boards today, and I am pretty sure I passed.

I blew through the written like it was nothing, but the practical was absolute hell; literally, that place was like an inferno. I would guess at LEAST 105 degrees in that room. But the worst is over; now I just have to wait and see if I passed.

Anyways, short blog, but it got to the point.
I'm tired and hot. Shower time.

Last week of School.

Well, this is my last week of school; Thursday is my last day. However, I'm going in Friday morning to have my free theory, and do my mom's hair one last time. I now only have 4 perms, 5 thermals, and 1 semi left to do. I'm getting so close! I'm so excited to be done, but I'm gonna miss my Vogue girls. I'm gonna have to bring my camera for some last pictures with them. I'll have to go back in occasionally for a facial or something. :]

Weekend in Utah & School Update

Well yet again, almost another month has gone by without a blog. Haha.

Last weekend I went down to SLC to see Brent. We went to a barbecue at Tyler's house for Tyler's birthday. He turned the big 21. It was a lot of fun, and I got to meet a lot of their friends. It was very relaxing and a good time. We played croquet, ate food, and got eaten by mosquitoes. Haha.

The next day we went to Brent's chuch, Washington Heights Baptist Church. I absolutely love it there. If/when I move down there, I'm so going there. There is lots of beautiful songs, with a live band. And the messages are always amazing; I constantly find myself reflecting on my life and how I live it. It really is an amazing place. Later that night we went swimming at Gus and his girlfriends' appartment complex, and then headed over to Weber State to watch fireworks.

It was an amazing weekend, as it always is with Brent, and I had a lot of fun. I miss him lots.

As for the school update I have 2 weeks left of school. My last day is the 8th and I take boards on the 10th in Boise. My mom and I went and bought all my stuff for boards... Over $100 dropped yesterday... Dang. My "baby boards" are on Wednesday; hopefully that helps me a lot to be more prepared for boards. I still have 11 perms, 15 thermals, 1 facial, and 1 semi left to do. I'm kinda stressing, but I know I'll get everything done.

Well, that's all I have for now...

Oh, one last thing. Since my grandma has been staying with us, I've kinda got to know her a lot better than before. Yesterday I painted her nails, and we talked for a few hours. Then we watched a chick flick together. I love having her around. She is the sweetest little grandma ever. I also colored her hair yesterday. She just looks fabulous. :]

Time flies!

Geez. Time flies doesn't it? It's been a month since I've posted. This last weekend was the 4th of July, and Brent came down to visit. I love having him here. He got here on Friday and I met him at my house after working on the Vogue's float for the parade. I was in the parade on Saturday, and he decided to sleep in.

The Vogue's float was really cute, patriotic, and it followed the parade's theme "the 4th of July through a child's eyes." A section of our float was a little kids room with BIG stuffed animals and giant toy blocks and a big doll house and carousel horse. Another section of the float was a picnic area with over-sized hamburgers and hot dog and watermelon and giant Pepsi and Coca Cola cans. There was also a kiddie pool in that section. The last section had giant fireworks that we had build and we had Donnie in a Navy outfit holding the flag. Our idea was morning/noon/night. I sat in the kiddie pool with Nikki and two little girls. All the girls did their hair like little girls: pigtails and side pony's with ringlets, and we all had BIG red and blue bows. (When I get some pictures I'll post them).

After the parade, I was VERY tired, so I went home and took a nap with Brent. Then we decided to go down by the river and check out all the little stands that businesses had up. We bought some yummy kettle corn, and got a coupon for the new Hard Hat Restaurant. We had the BEST view of the fireworks. We went to freeman and found a spot that wasn't crowded at all, and we could even see the low fireworks. We also brought our left over Mongolian Grill; very American I know. Haha.

All in all I had an amazing weekend. :]

Here's some pictures:

Brent eating his Mongolian Grill. Haha.

The camera made his eye look weird. :/

Beautiful View.

I miss my Brent. :[

Graduation.

My graduation was on Monday night. I didn't want to go, but my mom insisted, and I'm kinda glad she did. I got to hear my favorite teacher, Mr. Sanders, speak, and even though I didn't.... bond well with many students from Skyline, it was still a good experience. Here's some pictures from the graduation and after.

Me looking all cheesy in my robe.

I'm the blondie right in the center.

SHS.... kinda messed up.

Me and my cake :]

Congratulations to me! haha.

I love my brothers. :]

They are the best brothers ever. :]

Flowers from Ryan and Ashley.

I also received flowers from my parents that are pink and cute. :] I didn't have a picture though, and I'm too lazy to take one and upload it and all that jazz. haha. But thank you mom and dad and the rest of my family who made my graduation night wonderful. I love you all, and thanks for the support all these years. :]

Dance Pictures.

Soo, I've really been slacking on my blogging lately. Haha. Anyways. I am finally posting pictures from the dance... I'm only a week late. haha. It was really fun to go into Vogue and have Whitney do my hair. All the other girls made me go home and put on my dress, and come back and show them. haha. It was pretty fun. Then my mom had a field day with pictures. The dance was pretty lame overall; at least I know I wasn't missing out on much. We went to Ruby River for dinner. It was pretty good. Then we just went to the dance, got our pictures done, grabbed some ice cream on the way home, and that's it. Here's the pictures:

First and Last?

Today is my dance. I noticed that I haven't blogged for awhile.
I'm going to go get my hair done here in a few. Mom still needs to iron my dress as well. There's so many little things that need to get done. I found the necklace I wanted to wear. Byron finally got his pants today. Just a lot of little things. I'm not as excited as I originally was; I don't know if it's just because now it all seems so over-rated or what but just not as excited. No one else was able to come with us so that was a bummer. But I'll take pictures of my dress, hair, and date.

I went to Salt Lake last weekend with Whitney. It was a blast. I'll write more on it later, and have pictures. Now I have to go get my hair done.

I'm still alive! I swear!

Well, I'm finally feeling better. The plague has passed, and I'm back at school.

I have some exciting news. :] Well... you already know that I was asked to Commencement, but I just bought my dress yesterday. It is a big pink Cinderella dress. I'm absolutely in love with it. It's gorgeous. I would put up a picture, but Bryon isn't allowed to see it. Haha. :] Today I went and bought some comfy shoes to wear.

Tomorrow is Tyson's birthday (HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY TYSIE)! He's gonna be the big 23. I bought his present today. Can I just say that it is dang near impossible to shop for that boy? Haha. I have no idea what he wants, so I hope I did okay. *crosses fingers*

That's all for now.

Update from the plague.

Well, it is now Tuesday, and I'm still sick. I went to the doctor yesterday.... let me tell you. It was an adventure. Between the half hour wait, the almost passing out having my blood drawn, the bawl baby fit when they told me I needed a shot, and sitting in between old man creeper and young man creeper waiting for my x-ray... it was not a fun experience.
I went back today... they wanted to give me another shot... and I wanted to tell them where to put that shot... haha, but I just told them I didn't want it, so they prescribed more pills... oh boy.
But hopefully I'm getting better. My cough isn't as constant; I just have a bad fever... I'm like a personal space heater.

On a lighter note though, I got asked to commencement. :] His name is Byron, and he lives in Rigby. Today he drove me to my doctor's appointment and even paid for my prescriptons. haha. And we watched three movies. I told him if he spent too much time with me, I was gonna get him sick, but he told my I'm worth it. haha. It's been nice at least having someone here while I'm sick. Breaks up the day. Haha.

But, I hope to return to school on thursday. *crosses fingers*

That's all for now.

Easter Sunday.

Well, today is Easter.
I am still sick, which is a bummer, but what can you do?
My mom, er... the Easter Bunny, left my a huge bucket of candy.
Haha... I've been kinda snacking on it... I don't want to upset my stomach though. I've been a little more sick than just sore throat.

Ryan had a bunch of relatives over yesterday for an easter egg hunt. I just had to take a picture of Aisha. She's such a cheeser when she's having her picture taken, haha. But she is beautiful none-the-less.

Strep Throat?

Nope, but it sure feels like it.
My throat really started hurting today at school, and I was almost positive it was Strep. I left school early and went to the doctor. They took a test, and it came up negative, but they gave me some antibiotics, and said I should be feeling better by Monday... So, hopefully, they work. That is all. I'll let you know if & when I get better.

Part 2 of Spokane/Birthday Road Trip: Day 1

I guess I'll just pick up where I left off in the last blog.

So, after driving for 8 hours, we finally arrived in Spokane... Well, somehow we became very lost, and were driving all over Spokane on the phone with Kurtis trying to find his apartment. Well, we FINALLY found it. I vowed never to drive IN Spokane again. Haha. Well, it was around 5 by the time we got to his place, so he asked us if we were hungry... Of course we were. So he decided to take us to his work, Pizza Pipeline. On the way there, we stopped at his mom's house and said hi. I wish I could have gotten a picture; she's a very pretty lady. Anyways, when we got to Pizza Pipeline, we went in the back door where the employees are only allowed there were only 2 people working that night, Matt and... Mike? Well, we got to make our own pizza which was pretty cool. We made the Oriental Chicken. It was a mixture of "white sauce", mozzerella cheese, pineapple, cream cheese, and some flavor of chicken. It was THE BEST pizza I've ever had. It was a lot of fun to make it and hang out in the back with those guys. I had a really good time. :]

Here's some pictures of us making it:

Where to begin?

Well, I'm officially 18 now. My parents have successfully raised three children. :]

This last week has been one I will never forget. Stephanie and I left on Sunday for Spokane to see my other best friend Kurtis. It was a loonnnng 8 hour drive, and we had all sorts of weather from sunny, to foggy, to rainy. But, we made it there safely. The trip was way too extensive to post all in one blog so I'll just start with the actual trip there. We left at a little after 10am because we had to take Steph's car to the tire place, because we (luckily) found out that she had a flat tire. We stopped in Dell Montana, Missoula Montana, and finally made it to Spokane. We had a lot of laughs and junk food on the way. Haha. Here is a video that pretty much sums up the trip:

Aisha's First Haircut

I'm a little late posting this, but Aisha got her first haircut last... Thursday or Friday... It's been a long week. Haha. Ryan called me earlier last week and asked me if I would give Aisha her first haircut. Of course I said yes!
Anyways, She was really excited about it BEFORE we actually started cutting her hair. Once we sat her down in the chair, she wasn't so excited. Ryan had to sit next to her the whole time, but luckily, no tears fell, just hair.
She was really well-behaved and we got those pesky bangs out of her eyes, and a few locks for her mom's scrapbook. Here's some pictures from the experience.

Before the Haircut

Unsure about how she feels with those scissors so close to her eyes

Didn't want to let me to get that last piece

Look at that face. :(

A little smile... Finally!

At the end of the haircut, I've decided Aisha is like her Aunt and doesn't like getting her pretty long hair cut. But she's still just as beautiful before, and now she doesn't have long bangs in her eyes.

Because there is nothing going on tonight.

Today has turned out to be pretty boring.

Today at school I had some pretty grumpy and rude clients, so that kinda got me in a downer mood. And the day was going incredibly slow anyways, so that didn't help. Oh well.

I leave for Spokane in 11 days, and I must say, I'm pretty excited about that. :] Also, I turn 18 in 15 days. I am also very excited about that. Haha. I'll be and 'adult,' or something like that.

I got my federal tax return and it was $117. Half of that will be going to savings and half to my birthday trip. I hope I get that much back from state... or more. I'm not picky... haha.

Anyways... Nothing too exciting has happened since my last post... so... yeah.

Girl's Night.

Well, tonight some of us girls at Vogue decided to have a girl's night of laser tag. We did our hair in big crazy hair-dos. Mine was in a mohawk. Haha. It was way fun. I came in third place overall, but my team (Paige and Karri, the pink team) lost miserably to Whitney and Candy's team (the green team). Haha. I don't even want to tell you the score. Haha. Anyways, here are some pictures from the night. :]
